American investors bet on cloud computing

Its unstoppable development and the benefits it provides to companies are the main factors for investors and venture capital firms have decided to exploit the economic potential of cloud computing.

According to the 2014 Global Venture Capital Confidence Survey, a study prepared by Deloitte and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), it is the companies that work in the cloud that have received the most confidence from investors.

The TicBeat portal reports that this is the second consecutive year in which cloud computing is preferred by large venture capital funds. The unstoppable growth of the cloud and its great profitability would be the main reasons for investors to have their eyes on this sector.

Other sectors of importance to investors is mobile technology and the new trend of BYOD (Bring your own device or bring your own device, in Spanish) that have radically changed the way you work, as they create a much more dynamic environment between workers and companies.

THE DATA

TicBeat reports that 29.5 billion dollars were invested in 3,382 different companies in 2013, with organizations related to software receiving the most money (37.3% of the investment), followed by biotechnology (15.4% of the total inversion).
