Telefónica and Huawei launch Open Cloud and Cloud Server



Telefónica Business Solutions and Huawei already offer Open Cloud and Cloud Server services in Chile, Brazil and Mexico, following a launch that is part of the global collaboration agreement between both companies to promote the migration of traditional IT services to the cloud.

Open Cloud is a public cloud service based on Openstack technology, which is hosted in Telefónica's data centers in Chile, Brazil and Mexico. This service is the bet of the Telefónica Group company for an open and secure cloud, which offers a wide range of services ranging from computing, storage, networks and databases to more advanced services in analytics, security and application development.

One of the main advantages of Open Cloud is the ability to connect to the client's private networks, as well as connectivity with other Telefónica datacenter services. All this allows the customer to have hybrid cloud environments, all quickly, easily and in compliance with the regulations and local regulations of the countries.

Telefónica already has commercially available Cloud Server service in Brazil, Chile and Mexico, implemented on Huawei's FusionSphere platform.
