Álvaro Morala knows it because he has been dedicated to that for 15 years. And with the idea of streamlining this process, this Leonese computer scientist based in Gijón has created Wpiece, which streamlines web development processes allowing to act from a platform in the cloud. "It's about not repeating actions, not having to create something from scratch that you already had done for another site, Wpiece allows you to reuse components, for example, if you've made a calendar, you do not have to do it more times. you want, "explains Morala, who says that the tool is based on the source code, to process it as text and upload it to the cloud so that it can be handled from there with Wpiece, which decodes it and allows it to be manipulated. In what is translated its use is in saving time and money in changes and maintenance. Wpiece is in the prototype phase.
"The idea was born a couple of years ago but the beta prototype was published in July 2016,"says Morala. The business model is that companies or web managers have monthly or annual contracts more or less expensive depending on the number of requests or stored components (the volume of space and work involved in each case, ultimately). He believes that corporate portals, for example, could benefit greatly from its application.
